Job Description

A leading company in developing fuel injection testing equipment is looking for a Production Engineer to support the engineering, production and quality departments with engineering change administration and implementation.

Commutable from: Luton, Oxford, Banbury, Northampton, Bedford, Bicester, Aylesbury

Salary: £ 32,000 - £ 35,000 p.a. Dependent on experience

Suitable for: Quality Technician, Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Quality Inspector

The Role

As Production Engineer you will;
Be responsible for all engineering change activities including ECN administration and implementation.
Liaise with engineers and suppliers to overcome day to day product and quality issues.
Support the Engineering department by investigating issues and NPI.
Produce component and assembly drawings in 3D CAD for tooling / assembly aids / fixtures.
Prepare and issue a bill of materials to operations/production.

The Candidate

As Production Engineer you will be;
Experience of 3D solid modelling design software: Solidworks is essential – 2D AutoCAD/Draftsight are also desirable.
Minimum of HNC in Engineering with 2 years` experience within a manufacturing environment
An understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles / 5s and MRP systems / stock control is desirable but not essential.
