Job Description

An international manufacturer of complex cooling systems are looking for a Graduate Design Engineer to support the team in the design and development of new and existing products. You will have a mechanical Engineering degree or similar with Solid works design and FEA experience.

Commutable from: Nuneaton, Rugby, Coventry, Leamington Spa, Solihull, Birmingham, Hinckley, Lutterworth

Salary £ 25,000 p.a. + Pension + Early finish on a Friday

The Role

As a Graduate Design Engineer, you will;

Reporting to the Engineering Manager the Graduate Design Engineer will develop mechanical designs in 3d and 2d using CAD software SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
Utilise FEA Software to optimise designs as well as establishing product costs, liaising with the relevant suppliers and departments. The Design Engineer will establish technical relationships with customers including attending site visits and acting as the company go to for design and product expertise.
Coordinate the design engineering work.
Develop into a go-to resource for design and product expertise
Work collaboratively with the senior Applications Engineer and key internal partners such as sales, quality, new product development to ensure requirements are clearly understood and solutions designed to meet customer needs.
Consciously create a workplace culture that is consistent with the overall organization`s and that lead employees to meet the organization`s expectations for productivity, quality, and goal accomplishment.

The Person

A Graduate Design Engineer;
Proficient in Solid Works Cad software and some FEA knowledge
With a Mechanical Engineering degree or similar
Strong communication skills
