Job Description

Manufacturer of specialist medical devices and equipment is seeking an experienced Production Planner for a twelve month contract position supporting accurate planning, forecasting and development of the business` ERP system. The role is a on a days` basis, working Monday to Friday in Herefordshire.

Commutable from: Hereford, Leominster, Ledbury, Worcester

Salary: £ 11.00 - £ 12.50 per hour

The Role

Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Planner will convert sales requirements into purchasing requirements to ensure that stock and supply levels and accurately met. The Production Planner will liaise with suppliers on matters of cost/price, delivery and ensure that records are maintained on the ERP system. The Production Planner will support new production introductions including quotations for new part costings and producing detailed production plans for the manufacturing team.

The Person.

The Production Planner will be able to support a twelve month contract period with occasional travel needed (fully expensed) to supplier sites and possess proven production planning experience for manufacturing and excellent IT skills. Previous experience supporting supplier development is advantageous for the role alongside working within rigorous standards of product quality.
