The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Additive Technician. You will be working primarily out of metal Additive Manufacturing, Powder Bed Fusion processes. This role will be working with metallic powder materials through the full Additive (AM) cycle.

As the Additive Technician you will be using supporting equipment and processes to achieve the full Additive Manufacturing cycle. This is to include powder recycling, heat treatment, part removal post processing and inspection through to final delivery You will conduct maintenance of key and associated equipment You will be responsible for post processing of Additively Manufactured parts to include support/stock material removal and surface improvement using a range of hand tools and techniques You will be responsible for the use of supporting equipment and processes to achieve the full Additive Manufacturing Cycle which includes powder recycling, heat treatment, part removal, post processing and inspection, through to final delivery You will also be responsible for the clean-down, setup and operation of specialist Additive Manufacturing Systems
As the ideal candidate for the Additive Technician you will have previous experience of working in a technical capacity such as within a manufacturing or R&D environment, the ability to interpret technical drawings as well as the ability to work to fixed processes whilst ensuring H&S best practice is followed. Experience in additive Manufacturing or working with metal powders is desirable
