Specialist manufacturing business is seeking an Automation Engineer to support project activity within factory automation and related solutions. This is a permanent role and offers excellent progression and development. You will have previous experience in the automation/mechatronics field.
The Automation Engineer will support factory automation and process innovations using advanced connectivity functions and a range of intelligent solutions for manufacturing processes including pick, place, weld, assemble and related data analysis/acquisition functions.
You will combine a solid appreciation of mechanical engineering and ideally a mechatronics or automation focused degree with proven industry expertise to provide complex solutions to manufacturing challenges. You will interface with a broad range of stakeholders on projects including both working within the home plant and external customers and as such, some travel will be required for the role.
The successful applicant will possess a recognised technical qualification ideally at degree level or equivalent with bias towards automation/mechatronics with a strong grounding in mechanical engineering. You will possess excellent CAD skill base including 3D and be conversant with providing automated and mechatronic solutions to manufacturing challenges.
