A manufacturer of precision components has a new vacancy for a Quality Engineer. You must be an experienced quality professional with an engineering background and have encourage a right first time` culture. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in route cause analysis and improving quality processes.
Reporting to the Quality Manager you will ensure that products meet with customer`s requirements, this will involve reacting to quality issues, route cause analysis and the use of continuous improvement techniques. You will also be responsible for supplier development and work closely with engineering, design & manufacturing departments to reduce non- conformance.
Ensure manufacturing quality processes are understood Implement preventative actions for non-conformances Supplier development and selection Carryout supplier audits and report on Key Performance Indicators Regular liaison with all areas of the manufacturing process cycle to ensure that supplier reporting is effective and issues are identified promptly. Plan ways to reduce inspections time and cost Investigate on going quality issues Assist external auditors where appropriate Support quality improvement activities within manufacturing Investigate customer complaints as required Help drive continuous improvement and quality through the business
You will have experience working as a Quality professional within a precision engineering environment. You must have good understanding of quality documentations and processes, excellent communication skills and good report writing skills. Knowledge of hydraulic/ fluid transfer or CNC machinery is preferable but not essential
