Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Simulation Research Engineer Business & Factory Optimisation.

You will be working with a group of leading subject matter experts, delivering transformational change to our clients from multiple industrial sectors including aerospace, automotive, rail, marine, defence, power generation, ICT and oil & gas
The Simulation Advanced Research Engineer will support the Business & Factory Optimisation team, with project-based creative problem solving, solution concepts, model development, system design and optimisation.
The post holder is expected to apply knowledge and experience conducting modelling, simulation and optimisation studies to support the development and implementation of real engineering solutions, enabling the MTC`s clients to achieve their broad ranging goals as they drive towards achieving manufacturing excellence.
The post holder is expected to independently develop discrete event simulation (DES) and mathematical models that can be used to define and understand business problems To identify potential solutions and strategies to implement change through statistical analysis. Project management of project and/or work package portfolio >£100K; Lead project proposal and business case writing for small and medium projects; Lead technical liaison with customers during project delivery Lead engagement with existing customers to win repeat business; Generation of new project ideas in alignment with the theme`s strategy
The ideal candidate for the Simulation Advanced Research Engineer role will have a degree or above in either mathematics; computer science; engineering; physics or manufacturing.
You will need to be able to demonstrate; Commercial experience conducting modelling and simulation studies, Strong evidence of analytical skills and application of programming best practices. Experience in developing user interfaces, simulation libraries and interfaces between simulation models and databases Excellent attention to detail and confidence in your own ability Have knowledge of using coding language
