Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Senior Research Engineer within Non Destructive Testing.
This Senior Research Engineer Non Destructive Testing role is a research position based in the NDT and Metrology theme, and will involve the technical delivery of projects through the use of expert knowledge in one of the key research areas of the theme. Primarily the role is one of technical delivery, with an aspect of supporting the strategic development of research in areas key to the research theme.
Additionally, you will be required to support the team in delivery of: Collaborative multi-disciplined multi sector R&D projects. Customer liaison to support the technology manager and Senior Research Engineer in project scoping, business case writing and generation of project proposals and plans. Research in to state of the art design and manufacturing and testing techniques. Technical report writing and presentations. Creation and maintenance of project documentation and plans.
Applicants for this Senior Research Engineer Non Destructive Testing will ideally have an outstanding educational history and as a minimum a Masters degree relevant to NDT, Non-Destructive Testing or Materials research with experience of research or industrial work.
The ideal candidate would also have: Working knowledge of applications and limitations of a wide range of methods for NDT 5+ years working in the field of NDT Excellent business and technical data analysis skills including the use of appropriate data handling software Knowledge of the manufacturing sector and understanding of manufacturing systems and technologies Experience managing multidiscipline engineers ranging various levels and experience
