The Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre (AMTC) is focused on developing, maintaining and building upon the vital skills required by manufacturing graduates, technicians, engineers and managers to deliver the technologies that keep the Great British manufacturing industry globally competitive. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking an Apprentice Assessor. The purpose of the role is to support internal assessment in relation to Apprentice competency and knowledge portfolios.

The Apprentice Assessor will be responsible for: Working closely with the trainer team to ensure all apprentices are completing apprenticeships timely. typically this will be in areas such as Advanced machining, Intelligent Automation and Metrology in addition to Product Design and Development. Ensure the progress of the whole caseload of learners towards all components is being achieved by carrying out regular reviews. To assess high quality and engaging training for Apprentices. To provide training and assessment of engineering candidates in the workplace and training centre. Provide support for the quality assurance of engineering programmes. Maintain a safe working environment and flag any no conformances. Liaise with employers, including visiting workplaces as directed. Assist with the AMTC marketing and publicity as required including events and shows. Liaising with MTC personnel to ensure the Apprentice Programme continues to meet the MTC`s vision whilst ensuring synergies are realised.
The successful candidate for the Apprentice Assessor role will possess the following attributes: Current technical competence within the core areas of training including Advanced machining, Intelligent Automation and Metrology in addition to Product Design and Development. Understanding of various assessment criteria and procedures. detailed knowledge of Apprentice programmes and Engineering subjects. Health and Safety knowledge within Engineering. IT Literate including LMS and Microsoft Office packages. Good standard of written and verbal communication focussed on delivery objectives and targets. Ability to identify improvements to delivery and processes. Previous experience carrying out performance development reviews with Apprentices. Plan, design and deliver engineering training programmes.
