Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Advanced Research Engineer Product Design. The purpose of the role is to support the MTC`s product development offer, from both a technical and organisational point of view.

Duties and responsibilities for the Advanced Research Engineer Product Design are: • To work and liaise with clients both internally and externally, managing customer expectations, problem solve and deliver work which meets requirements. • To provide support to others in areas of expertise. • To support the Technology Manager & Senior Research Engineers - in the organisation of required resources where applicable. • To provide mentoring and coaching to other staff while undertaking training to progress your own career development. • To lead the development of proposals for new work and further opportunities with clients. • To lead technical liaison with customer during project delivery.
The successful candidate for the Advanced Research Engineer Product Design role will: • Have a BSc or BEng degree in an appropriate engineering subject, ideally product design. • Experience in a manufacturing or design engineering role with evidence of the application of CAD skills and DFM including UI/UX. • Be able to demonstrate knowledge of design for working with difficult environmental. conditions, machining and containment within complex parameters • Have strong problem solving and project management skills. • Excellent IT skills - Proficient with the use of the Microsoft office packages. • Have very good report writing skills and have the ability to present technical data and reports to a varied audience.
