A British engineering company who design, develop and manufacture a range of innovative and market leading devices, are seeking a Supplier Development Engineer to support their technical manufacturing and projects teams. You will project manage the validation, evaluation and selection of the supply chain and have experience in supplier development and validation within a manufacturing engineering environment.
Salary: Competitive + 33 days holiday + very good Pension + Early finish on a Friday
As a Supplier Development Engineer, you will; Be responsible for working with suppliers to ensure Bought-In Components and Sub-Contract processes are validated and delivered into the Supply Chain in line with company quality, cost and timing commitments. Project Manage Change and Continuous Improvement projects within the Supply Chain Support R&D and suppliers on development projects and DFM feasibility Ensure Suppliers can deliver components or services by working with R&D to ensure products are designed with maximum manufacturability (DFM). Evaluate suppliers and Conduct Supply Chain Risk-Assessments, to ensure suppliers are low risk and multiple suppliers / dual sourcing is available. Build and maintain robust relationships with suppliers and key internal customers
A Supplier Development Engineer with experience in; Purchasing and Supply Chain project delivery Supply Chain Quality Control Techniques. Validation of components/processes in a regulatory-controlled manufacturing environment. Supplier evaluation (quality, manufacturing and environmental systems), selection and management Use of Statistical tools and experience of quality management systems Full driving licence and a willingness to travel, including abroad
