Due to continued expansion a Quality Engineer is currently being recruited to join a leading manufacturer of precision components to the aerospace, defence & energy sectors. Candidates must be experience quality professionals, comfortable working with both suppliers & customers and worked in precision engineering.
Seeking a Quality Engineer who can support a well-established engineering firm in providing precision machined components. The successful candidate will work alongside the Quality Manager in the day to day quality aspects of the business, with a view to take ownership of the role in the future.
Main responsibilities: Mechanical and visual inspection of detail parts and assemblies at all stages (goods in, first off, inter-stage including sub-contracted processes & final sign off) Creation of First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS) QA aspect of contract review Packaging goods for despatch Represent the company in all issues related to quality & compliance including investigation & response to non-conformances. Ensure health & safety, and subsequent relevant policies are reviewed and maintained alongside management team.
You will have experience working as a Quality professional within a precision engineering environment. You must have good understanding of quality documentations and processes, Ability to read technical drawings, excellent communication skills and good report writing skills, Candidates must be comfortable working in customer facing environment. Candidates must have a good understanding of lean manufacturing techniques.
