A Quality Systems and CI Engineer is needed to join The Manufacturing Technology Centre. The MTC is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Quality Systems and CI Engineer. The purpose of the role is to provide continuous support and developing Management Systems whilst driving Continuous Improvement across all levels of the MTC in compliance with ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001.

The Quality Systems and CI Engineer will be responsible for: Maintain and continuously improve The MTC`s existing management system Lead management system change in a highly flexible, R&D environment Work as in integrated part of the QCIEHS team to lead improvement activities at all levels of the organisation Conduct a percentage of internal audits and inspections in accordance with ISO9001, ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards, statutory and legal requirements Conduct internal investigations as a result of an issue or breach of management system requirements, helping process owners with the development of resultant corrective action Provide key measures and metrics on Quality, CI and EHS performance to the Head of QCIEHS on a regular basis
The ideal candidate for this Quality Systems and CI Engineer position will be educated to a minimum of degree level in relevant engineering, manufacturing or business systems discipline. Other technical skills and knowledge required include: Understanding of industry standard approaches to Root Cause Corrective Action (Such as Lean, 8D or Six sigma) Lean/ Six Sigma continuous improvement Internal auditing against one or more of the ISO standards (14001, 9001 or 45001) Experience of driving Continuous Improvement and Quality Management Systems in a high complexity manufacturing environment Experience of working as an intrinsic part of a ISO9001 Quality Management System Used to making themselves an integral part of change implementation within a business Used to Driving change in a complex, highly flexible organisation
