A leading multi-billion pound global supplier of automotive components require a Quality Technician to drive internal and external quality issues, within a high volume, fast paced automotive tier one environment. You will ideally be a proven Quality Technician and any exposure to injection mould / plastics and paint and be beneficial, whilst being able to work on a 3 shift system.
Salary: £ 25,000 - £ 28,000 p.a. (inclusive of 3 shift allowance)+ pension and company benefits
Primary responsibilities within the Quality Technician role will be to drive internal and external quality issues, whilst ensuring working and master samples are valid and available for production. Additional responsibilities will include issuing and monitoring quality alerts, initiate both temporary and permanent fixes to quality problems, and 8D reporting using multifunctional team support.
With a proven background in Quality with preferably an ONC or equivalent in Quality Techniques. You will have working knowledge of FMEA`s and control plans, with solid understanding of IATF16949, and ISO 9001 quality standards. APQP understanding will be highly advantageous along with any past exposure of paint, plastic and assembly high volume processes, equally previous launch experience will be beneficial for this position. A team player who is able to generate informative and accurate data. Please note the role does include working on a 3 shift pattern, (6-2, 2-10, 10-6) so flexibility will be required for the successful Quality Technician.
