The purpose of the Store & Inventory Managers role is to lead the Stores operation in providing an efficient and customer-focused storage, inventory and despatch function supporting all functions within the organisation. We are in the process of introducing a new purpose-built stores facility therefore the ideal candidate will have experience of setting up and implementing the configuration, process flows and operational structure to meet the changing demands of the organisation.
The Stores & Inventory Manager will be suited to applicants educated to A-Level or above. As well as skills and knowledge of the following: Strong knowledge of how an efficient warehouse process Management or Supervisory experience and understanding of the deadlines and pace required to run a successful stores and inventory department Experienced managing and maintaining a Dynamics AX Warehouse Management System Extensive experience of Goods intake/despatch. Experience working in a multi-disciplined engineering environment with knowledge of export control. Knowledge of MRP, bar coded stock systems and kit picking. Proven track record of expediting and order book management. Responsible for quality inspection, quarantine and rejection/returns to supplier. Knowledge of Health & Safety processes. Demonstrated experience of implementing new processes. Ability to training and develop the stores team Experience of stock rotation FIFO/KANBAN A full UK driving licence would be advantageous
