An innovative and pioneering EV tech company are seeking a CAD Engineer. In this role you will be exposed to a variety of components, systems and suppliers developing advanced feature strategies and leading content delivery on a new global EV project. You will be expected to be able to perform key roles to ensure that the company continues to remain competitive in the development of new vehicle technologies for future vehicle platforms, thus contributing to the success and quality of all new vehicles.
The Role As the CAD Engineer the key responsibilities of the roles that you are expected to do are, but are not limited to: Take responsibility for project specific design documentation at all stages of contract lifecycle using CREO. Create parts, assemblies and drawings using CREO/ Windchill design software. Produce accurate client approval drawings that clearly reflect the project scope and scheme sold, in accordance with Company standards. Review and filter client specifications and drawings, and identify the relevant information which needs to be incorporated into project design documentation. Create and maintain accurate drawing registers and transmittal documentation. Interface with client extranets and adhere to their document control procedures. Produce the desired level of detail, in drawings and manufacture schedules, that allows the efficient manufacture of the products
The Candidate A Degree in Mechanical Engineer, Automotive Engineering or Similar The ideal candidate will hold proven experience within a similar role within an Automotive environment ideally experience within an OEM. Experience with working with CREO/ Windchill. Fully capable of 2D drafting.
