Research and Development organisation is seeking an experience and qualified Research Engineer within the field of construction assurance and compliance. The Research Engineer with play an active role in supporting innovative and collaborative R&D activity within the construction sector.

The Research Engineer position within construction assurance and compliance is a newly created position to support the growth of recent projects in collaboration with multiple stakeholders. The role is initially on an 18 month fixed term contract with high likelihood of extending significantly beyond this point. The Research Engineer will support in the innovation of construction products and materials including manufacturing/factory planning and supporting the move to offsite building/assembly. The Research Engineer will review the relevant auditory requirements and associated health, safety and environmental considerations alongside this. Other key considerations are the correct validation of new products and solutions and the appropriate recommendations around end-of-life.
The Research Engineer will possess proven research experience within construction processes, possess a engineering degree or equivalent, be conversant with collaborative projects and be flexible to visit stakeholder sites where applicable. Experience within advanced manufacturing for the construction sector such as modular building and related products is highly advantageous in addition to proven experience working within a project-led environment.
