Specialist plastics packaging business with strong involvement with FMCG and Medical sector is seeking a degree-qualified NPD Technician on a permanent basis to work in the Staffordshire plant. You will support new packaging innovations working and closely with customers to provide solutions.

Salary: £ 25,000 - £ 35,000 p.a. + Pension


The Role

The New Product Development Technician (NPD Technician) will support new solutions in plastic packaging within the FMCG and medical sectors by conducting research and development activity, sampling and testing of trialled solutions, provide technical support to customers on material capability and product feasibility and the associated documentation and reporting required. The NPD Technician role is a permanent position working Monday to Friday.


The Person

The successful applicant will possess a recognised degree in Chemistry and/or Polymer-related sciences and be conversant in working on new products in an industrial R&D context ideally for the food or medical products arena. You will be able to produce concise and accurate technical reporting and demonstrate strong commercial awareness in your research, innovation activity and customer interactions.
