A large national automation product distributor is looking to recruit a Team Leader to run an office based team. The role will see you manage the branch on a day to day basis. The ideal candidate will have previous managerial experience, ideally within Customer Service and Sales.
The Team Leader is tasked to create a culture of continuous improvement and flexibility of approach to achieve results. Lead by example by maintaining a proactive methodology to cross selling and delivering the company`s all-inclusive message. Meet the branch KPI`s to maximise sales; maintain and grow the number of trading accounts; and increase the range of products sold, Improve customer retention and spend frequency Demonstrate sufficient commercial awareness to negotiate prices, depending on customer ownership and status to maximise margin. Update and monitoring of the strategix customer discount system; reviewing discount levels with external sales staff at least annually to ensure that discounts are commercially appropriate to customer spend. Manage timely workflow within the branch. Customer satisfaction scores (responsibility) improvement or maintenance of the levels. Monthly review with team members to ensure adherence to job profile and SMART objectives and company mission statement. Monthly meetings with line manager to review progress on their branch objectives. Maintain and develop on going customer relationships. Ensure all team members work within the purchasing and credit control commercial guidelines. Review and report on performance of the team, identifying resource requirements where appropriate. Attend and represent the branch at quarterly review meetings held at Head Office. Take responsibility for any HR issues that arise within the branch and escalate to the HR department for advice.
As the Team Leader Management experience in a similar customer service environment is important. A good level of education is required, with at least GSCE`s in Maths and English (or equivalent) Customer service and/or management qualifications are desirable. The job calls for a person who enjoys dealing with people, creating and maintaining relationships as well as making a good impression both personally and for the organisation.
