Leading research and development organisation within the field of advanced engineering for the automotive and related sectors is seeking a Principal Engineer - Power Electronics and Electric Machines. You will support R&D activity within an APC funded project with multiple stakeholders.
The Principal Engineer - Power Electronics and Electric Machines will lead research activity within an APC funded project supporting electrical and electronic innovations within the automotive field for powertrain applications. The Principal Engineer will be the technical lead for the successful and timely delivery of outputs from the project and represent the organisation as a qualified and passionate specialist within the field of power electronics. You will provide effective communications to the project stakeholders and support and mentor research team members within the project and across the power electronics field.
The Principal Engineer will possess a degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar discipline, possess broad experience both of project delivery and engineering leadership in industry and/or academia, with the drive to make best possible use of the state-of-the-art research facilities and transfer knowledge internally and externally. You will have excellent experience within the field of manufacturing for the power electronics arena, possess proven mentoring and leadership skills and enjoy research and innovation challenges.
