The Manufacturing Technology Centre is collaborating with the UK Atomic Energy Authority (UKAEA) and the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) to train and develop apprentices in a brand new purpose built training academy in Oxfordshire.
Courses will be delivered by the MTC, replicating the industry-leading Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre on the MTC campus in Coventry. The AMTC has rapidly built a reputation for equipping apprentices not only with core engineering skills but also the latest advanced manufacturing techniques. The environment is both dynamic and engaging, supporting the next generation of highly skilled and agile Engineers.
Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Apprentice Coordinator. The purpose of this role is to deliver the operational co-ordination of the pioneering training programme based out of a new facility in Oxford.
Duties and responsibilities of the Apprentice Coordinator include:
Being responsible for the health and safety of learners and facility through proactive leadership. Operational co-ordination of a pioneering training programme, to include the preparation of an induction programme. Management of the Apprentice administration to include; creation of new learner data and folders, input of learner review data and assessments, the claiming of certificates, updating learner systems in line with ESFA and MTC processes. Responsible for all logistics associated with the apprentice inductions, including sourcing rooms, agenda`s and organisation of activities, seeking stakeholder involvement and all communication with new employees and stakeholders. Engage with external companies over the recruitment of apprentices including initial CV sifting, setting up of assessment centres and engaging with schools. Day-to-day support of the apprentices including behavioural management. Co-ordination of all internal and external on scheme apprentices including course reviews, regular communication and dealing with any issues the apprentices may have. You will have regular communication with stakeholders both internally and externally regarding operational aspects of the programmes.
The ideal candidate for the Apprentice Coordinator is someone who has worked with apprentices and/or young people with great communication and interpersonal skills to include;
Supporting employers, Apprentices and colleagues. Previous experience supporting OFSTED and ESFA. Understanding of key apprentice learning and government systems. Strong administration skills and proficient use of MS software packages. monitored KPI`s and developed reporting for Senior Management.
