The Advanced Manufacturing Training Centre is focused on developing, maintaining and building upon the vital skills required by manufacturing graduates, technicians, engineers and managers to deliver the technologies that keep the Great British manufacturing industry globally competitive. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking an Engineering Apprentice Assessor. The purpose of the role is to provide training and assessment of Engineering apprentices in the workplace i.e. Amazon fulfilment centres nationwide.

The Assessor role is required to support the progression of the development competence qualification and provide guidance for EPA. Managing a case load of Amazon (mechatronic) apprentices in their fulfilment centres.
The Apprentice Assessor role will focus on the following key responsibilities: To assess high-quality and engaging training for a caseload of Apprentices through the standard (L3 Product Design and Development) To provide training and assessment of engineering candidates in the workplace and training environment To provide support for the quality assurance of engineering programmes To liaise with employers, including visiting the workplace as directed To assist in the maintenance of learner recording systems including tracking documents To adhere to the AMTC timetable schedule of assessment and reviews ensuring that any necessary adjustments are authorised by the Programme Manager To ensure that all relevant Health and Safety legislative requirements are in place, monitored and regularly reviewed to include up to date risk assessments/COSHH records
The successful candidate for Apprentice Assessor will possess the following attributes and experience: Industry related qualifications such as HND, or NVQ`s Level 3 Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE`s in Maths and English grade C or above CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications Recognised Training/Teaching Qualification - desirable Internal Quality Assurance qualifications - desirable Current Technical competence within Advanced Machining, Intelligent Automation or Metrology environment. Understanding of the various assessment criteria and procedures Detailed knowledge of Apprenticeship programs for Engineering subjects
