R&D organisation with projects within the construction sector including projects within the Construction Innovation Hub (CIH) is seeking a BIM Data Deployment Engineer on a fixed-term contract basis to support Building Information Modelling programmes with their requirements for structured data.

The BIM Engineer will undertake cutting edge research for a range of projects within the planning, development, maintenance and deployment of digital solutions, development and implementation of BIM product data deployment plans and creation and mapping of BIM data structures and properties from relevant standards and documents. You will play an active role in the implementation and testing of data sets on whole lifecycle demonstrator projects and support the creation of documentation for customers, production of deployment specifications and configurations and introduce new system development and enhancements.
The successful candidate for the role of BIM Engineer will possess recent experience in a BIM / technology deployment role and hold a degree in either information science, computer science, architectural engineering, architectural technology, building design and technology or similar/combined fields of study.
You will possess an understanding of the principles of the BIM standards as well as current BIM software, open data standards/processes and be well versed within data structures, databases, data types and measurements in a variety of computer-based languages. Experience in Data Modelling techniques (data schema approaches such as Express, IFC, OWL) are hugely desirable in addition to C# or VB .Net experience.
