Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager - Construction. The purpose of the role is the support the growth of the Construction sector by identifying, qualify and securing new business.

The Role

Reporting to the Director of Business Development and Insight, The Senior Business Development Manager – Construction will identify, qualify and secure new business whilst maintaining client-centric business relationships.

As part of the role you will:
Deliver revenue growth within the Construction (& Infrastructure) sector
Proactively own, maintain and expand key customer / prospect relationships
Identify opportunities within existing customer base and external market to create mutual value
Understand customer`s technological and strategic roadmaps, needs and requirements
Develop and maintain strategic/key account plans
Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to provide world class outcomes
Lead generation, pipeline management and reporting through the phases of opportunity identification, validation, qualification and closing.

The Person

The successful candidate for the Senior Business Development Manager – Construction role will possess the following attributes:

A driven, business-winning mindset with strong influencing skills, a good appreciation of technology, excellent communication skills, creative thinking to construct opportunities and a completer/finisher approach to ensure projects are delivered.
A technical background with ideally a level of exposure to industrial/manufacturing sectors and a technically focused degree particularly engineering would be beneficial.
A recognised team player who is driven to initiate and grow new relationships with clients, possessing situational awareness, emotional intelligence and the ability to build rapport quickly with customers.
A client-facing professional with proven ability to form lasting business relationships and conversant with sales and proposal development techniques such as Huthwaite ‘SPIN` methodology, Strategic Account Planning and Proposal Development.
