A large and growing ingredients supplier has an immediate requirement for a Quality Champion, based in Suffolk on a permanent basis. The ideal candidate will lead and champion quality and food hygiene procedures in the production teams to satisfy compliance requirements and embed a quality culture.
Commutable from: Suffolk, Stowmarket, Bury St Edmunds, Ipswich, Lowestoft
Salary: £ 35,000 p.a. - £ 40,000 p.a. added employer pension contribution, private medical insurance, company car or car allowance, flexi-time working hours, holiday and many other benefits
The Role of Quality Champion:
Work alongside the production managers to lead quality improvement across the production team and reduce waste Drive adherence to hygiene standards such as GMP, BRC, ISO22001 and address corrective plans Ensure personal and packaging hygiene standards are understood and followed while maintaining control of the sterile procedures Manage a QC procedure for incoming non-grain goods also Oversee the complaints procedure in relation to production to provide objective evidence for communication
Degree level or equivalent in a biological science discipline or food science Have at least 3 years practical, regulatory or supervisory experience in operational activities within a food environment Able to drive continuous change in hygiene standards and lead by example committing to food safety and product quality Be a strong communicator at all business levels
