Due to the recent award of new projects and organisational growth, a leading R&D company has a new vacancy for a Laboratory Technician. As part of the technical team you will work in the electronics laboratory responsible for testing and reporting findings, calibration of equipment and prepare test samples.
Reporting to the Laboratory manager you will be responsible for conducting laboratory tests and maintaining a safe working environment.
Conduct laboratory tests, processes and report results to the senior staff Provide technical support Able to follow practises, polices, and health and safety roles Good written and verbal communication skills Maintain and calibration of laboratory equipment (appropriate training will be provided) Make sure lab supplies are available Able to work in a cleanroom and fast environment Writing reports, SOPs and summaries if asked Collecting preparing and testing samples
Candidates will have previous experience working in a laboratory, ideally within an electronics lab or similar and have a desire to develop and their skills. Appropriate training and support will be provided to support personal development and graduates with Lab experience will also be considered.
