The purpose of the role is to support learners across the breadth of qualifications offered by the AMTC Apprenticeship training programme from Level 2-3

The role of Maths and CAD Trainer will focus on the following key duties and responsibilities: Effective delivery of Maths and CAD paying due regard to developing independent learners, and enabling student progression towards successful completion Develop ways of working that are responsive to learners` needs, monitor and evaluate progress and practice and prepare learners for examinations. To work closely with the delivery team to support learners with barriers to learning. To act as the Mathematical lead for all apprentice support and progress for the complete apprentice journey To promote and facilitate high levels of student attendance, retention and achievement for the functional skills element of the Apprenticeship Provide accurate and timely data and information, including registers, assessments, examination details and progress reports. Attend and contribute to Apprenticeship team meetings and student success meetings and reviews as required.
The successful candidate for the Maths and CAD Trainer will have experience within the apprenticeship arena, be familiar with the planning requirements and production of details lesion plans to support learning, development and progression within the Maths and CAD fields. Further attributes and experience and qualification required includes: Appropriate Qualifications at Degree level or an Engineering Qualification and an endorsed teaching qualification PTLLS or DTLLS or equivalent are essential. Current competence within Mathematical and CAD skills and delivery at Level 2 and 3 and experience working with Apprentices IT literate including LMS and generic Microsoft Office packages including Word, PowerPoint and MS Outlook Familiarisation with LMS or VLE learning environments
