Applications Development Engineer

Working for a global plastics manufacturer and distribution specialist, they are seeking an Applications Engineer to provide technical support to customers on product capability, product selection, product availability and expert guidance whilst maintaining excellent customer relationships.


Commutable from: Birmingham, Oxford, Worcester, Cheltenham, Warwick

Salary: £ 35,000 - £ 50,000 p.a. + Company Car + 12% Pension


The Role

Supporting the wider Midlands region, the Applications Development Engineer will support customer requirements from a home-based role with travel required to customer sites where required and when applicable. The role entails providing expert customer support on plastic product capabilities including suitability for user`s purpose, availability and ongoing customer relationship management. The Applications Development Engineer will seek out new markets and sectors to offer thermoplastics solutions to and work in close collaboration with the commercial teams to ensure a smooth and effective customer experience.


The Person

The successful applicant will be degree-qualified, conversant with plastic materials and be able to travel and operate across the wider Midlands region. As such a company car is provided along with laptop and phone. The Applications Development Engineer will have proven customer experience and be well versed within managing customer relationships within the plastic materials arena providing expert technical guidance on product specifications and capability.
