A rapidly expanding research and development business is looking to appoint an experienced Toolroom Supervisor to join the business initially on a six month FTC. An experienced Machinist you must have previous experience of manual machining, toolmaking and have good leadership skills.
Due to the recent award of a new contact a leading precision engineering company has an interim vacancy for a Toolroom Supervisor.
Low volume manual turning and CNC machining to extremely fine tolerances Leading, training & developing a small team Maintenance of the machinery Liaison with the design team Assembly of components Setting up test rigs Training of an apprentice Manufacturing jigs and fixtures Performing manual measurement inspection to ensure dimensional accuracy
With a recognised engineering qualification (HND, HNC or apprenticeship) you will have a background in a toolroom / machining environment and strong manual and CNC machining capability for the manufacture of low volume, high precision components. A background in precision engineering is essential and you must also be able to work independently, covering all aspects of the tool room.
