Specialist CNC machining business with a genuinely broad sector customer base is in growth mode due to large and long-term contract awards. They are seeking two experienced CNC Machinists to join the engineering team, one with a Milling skill base and one with a Turning skill base.
Working on a 4-day x 10 hour shift basis, Monday to Thursday, the CNC Miller and CNC Turner will support an exciting range of manufacturing processes to bring new products into production. Working from engineering drawings and interacting with CAD/CAM packages, you will play an active role in developing the solutions for customers. You will work to precise GD&T requirements and ensure parts are checked and inspected prior to release to customer. The projects are challenging and complex components for global customer base, at a range of volumes and will include some prototyping and some developmental solutions. You will work safely and collaboratively with the engineering team and enjoy excellent training and progression as part of the role.
The successful applicants for the CNC Miller and CNC Turner position will be proven in their respective fields to a multi-axis level, preferably with a recognised engineering/technical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification by experience. You will able to undertake manual and some CMM inspection of your work, be conversant with CAD/Cad applications and be keen advance your skill levels in both CNC machining and related CAM applications. Fixed and Sliding head experience along with Fanuc controls coding experience is hugely advantageous in addition to AutoDesk Fusion 360, EdgeCAM and SolidCAM familiarity.
