Artemis Technologies is an applied technology spin-off from the Artemis Racing America`s Cup Team, founded in 2017 to commercialise the hydro-foiling and tool chain intellectual property developed by the team. Artemis Technologies is seeking a Head of Procurement to support them in their mission to become the market leader in high-speed zero-emission vessels and propulsion systems, to lead in the decarbonization of the maritime industry.
The Head of Procurement will be responsible for developing the supply chain and procuring the components, equipment and facilities to support the manufacture, assembly and delivery of the Artemis Technologies product range.
Key responsibilities include leading the procurement function for the Artemis eFoilerTM and Artemis Technologies vessels - with overall accountability and responsibility for the budget and team. The Head of Procurement will work in close liaison with the Manufacturing Team to support effective business decision making and supplier selection/management to achieve the desired manufacturing outcomes, whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, cost, delivery and safety, throughout the processes.
You will develop a strategic, effective and engaged supply chain network for the procurement of components, equipment and facilities ensuring that the budget is aligned with the manufacturing plan and the suppliers operate to the highest standards of delivery and quality in their support for Artemis Technologies. The Head of Procurement will continually uphold the core values of Artemis Technologies throughout their work and engagement with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
The Head of Procurement will ideally be Chartered or a Fellow within the Supply Chain arena and be educated to a minimum of degree level (or equivalent). You will possess demonstrable experience within leading a procurement function including strategic procurement leadership and supplier selection including technical engagement with both internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
A proven Project Manager within purchasing and procurement, you will ideally possess previous experience of building a supplier base and strong and effective supplier relationships through engagement with suppliers of carbon fibre/composite materials and components/systems used in electrification and mechanical engineering processes. Previous experience procuring components or systems within a maritime environment is naturally also highly advantageous for the position.
