A high-tech engineering company delivering world leading and patent-backed high-speed electric motors and drives for automotive super-charging applications and hydrogen fuel cell systems requires a Senior Power Electronics Engineer. You will deliver the design, build and test of power electronic systems for innovative automotive electrification applications.
As the Power Electronics Engineer you will be responsible for the technical ownership of power electronic circuits, through concept, development and validation as well as providing technical delivery of development activities to meet timescales and cost targets for R&D products and customer projects.
You will help support the planning of power electronics related activities and interface with suppliers and partners with technical requirements and feedback for existing and new designs.
The Power Electronics Engineer will work closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g. embedded SW, PCB layout, mechanical design etc.) to develop complete systems and support system integration by providing debugging capability and validation support.
As the Power Electronics Engineer you will be degree qualified in electronics (or related) with demonstrable experience in designing and implementing power electronics. You will possess a solid background in power electronics, motor drives and analogue circuitry including high speed motors, designing motor gate drives and design of PWM-driven DC/DC convertors.
