Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Technical Specialist for Data & Information Systems.
The purpose of this role is to lead the development of the enterprise system for the virtual reconfigurable manufacturing environment. This role specifically needs industrial experience in enterprise system deployments, with a focus around MES. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast growing organisation and have an influence over a leading project within the organisation.

As the Technical Specialist for Data & Information Systems you will lead the development of enterprise systems for the Liverpool DMA Project. Customer and partner liaison, specifically related to technology providers and potential user or the Liverpool DMA facilities. Support and mentoring for junior members of the Liverpool DMA project. To engage in training programmes consistent with your needs and aspirations and those all the MTC. Independent supply of project technical deliverables. To promote MTC capabilities through publications in International Journals and presentations at prestigious conferences, to Professional Bodies and Specialist Interest Groups with due consideration of confidentiality requirements associated with particular areas on research/projects.
The successful candidate for the Technical Specialist Data & Information Systems:
Essential skills and competencies: Industrial experience of enterprise system deployments and Operational Technologies elements within manufacturing, specifically around MES; Experience working in the ISA L2 and L3 domain; Working knowledge of network security; Demonstrable understanding of Industrial IoT frameworks; Excellent research, report, presentation and communication skills; Ability to work collaboratively in a large, cross-skilled, multi-located team; Experience in external customer engagement;
Desirable skills and competencies: Specific industrial experience within Pharma/FMCG; Experience working on large collaborative projects; Existing industrial network within the Liverpool region; Understanding of cloud services (Azure or AWS), SaaS Solutions and their application to plant floor control and visualization; Strong knowledge and understanding of server virtualization technologies such as VMware, Azure Stack and Hyper-V, KVM, Openstack;
