A global manufacturer to the aerospace, defence & energy sectors has a new vacancy for a Business Development Manager. The company is based in the South West but offer remote working and candidates will be tasked with identifying & introducing new customers to the business as well as forging strong relationships with existing clients, applicants are sought with a good understanding of the aerospace, defence & energy sectors.

You will be responsible for developing the existing customer base and identing new business opportunities in order to secure a significant increase in sales figures whilst keeping an eye on market competitors.
Key responsibilities: Develop relationships with existing & new customers Identify new business opportunities outside of current customer base Develop negotiation strategies and work towards establishing contracts, including identifying any potential risks Growing profitability by developing new customers and promoting the business Contribute to commercial sales strategies and pricing structures Securing cross functional customer relationships that facilitate the sales plan Produce and analyse weekly and monthly reports in line with sales targets and market intelligence Liaising with engineering teams to understand how to meet customer requirements
With a proven track record of securing new business and identifying new markets, you will be a customer focused and results driven individual, ideally with a background working in an Engineering/ Manufacturing environment and must have a good understanding of either the aerospace, defence or energy sectors.
The successful candidate will have significant commercial knowledge, excellent communication and organisation skills and an eye for accuracy and detail.
