Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking an Advanced Research Engineer - Business & Factory Optimisation. The purpose of the role is to support the Modelling & Simulation team in the area of Business & Factory Optimisation, with project-based creative problem solving, factory simulation and operations planning.

The key responsibilities and duties of the Advanced Research Engineer - Business & Factory Optimisation will include:
Conducting simulation studies and analysis, system design and optimisation in line with client requirements;
Lead industrial projects, from customer requirements definition and proposal definition, throughout project delivery, completing assigned packages of work to a high quality and agreed costs and time-scales;
Deliver on a range of project scales, from single client project to multi-partner collaborations. Operating in a diverse range of sectors, and applying MTC and Team best practices;
Provide technical and sub-team support to others in areas of expertise;
Generation of key project and strategic initiatives in alignment with theme`s strategy;
Contribute to the theme business and technology strategy.
The successful candidate for the Advanced Research Engineer - Business and Factory Optimisation will be experienced and qualified in the following:
Minimum of degree qualified with computer science/ simulation bias plus minimum of 3 years industry experience;
Proficiency with using discrete event simulation software such as Tecnomatix Plant Simulation, Simul8, Witness or Anylogic;
Experience and expert knowledge in one or more of the following: discrete event simulation, system dynamics, agent based modelling, cost modelling and mathematical modelling;
Experience in cost - benefit analysis, business case simulation and supply chain modelling;
Ideally manufacturing, programming, data-analytics and solutions architecture experience.
