Manufacturing success story in Herefordshire. They are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to ensure maximum continuity of production across their sites in the Herefordshire region. The role is permanent and offers excellent progression.
Salary: Circa £ 34,000 per annum + Pension + Excellent Benefits
Reporting to the Group Production Manager, the Maintenance Engineer will maintain both the production equipment with the goal of maintaining an undisturbed process flow and other plant equipment.
The role will take responsibility for reactive, predictive and planned maintenance and your remit will include: breakdown cover, both mechanical and electrical, PLC fault-finding, support for pneumatic and hydraulic equipment and general repair and overhaul duties. Electrical installation work will be required on occasions for new equipment alongside supporting safe and efficient working.
Some call-out responsibilities will be needed on a fair rota basis across the two sites in Herefordshire, approximately twenty minutes` drive between them.
The Maintenance Engineer will possess a proven record in a manufacturing environment and be able to fault-find and conduct root cause analysis on engineering breakdowns. You will be multi-skilled but ideally possess a level of electrical maintenance qualifications, Wiring Regs are highly advantageous for the role in addition to the ability to demonstrate working in safe isolation electrically and mechanically. You will work on a day`s basis, Monday to Friday 0800-1700 (1600hrs on Fridays) with some overtime needed to support business requirements and overhaul/planned preventative maintenance activities.
