Leading research, development and testing standards organisation based near London is seeking an experienced Electronics Test Technician to join the Fire Detection team. You will support testing activity for fire safety products including fire alarms, fire controls, sensor technology and components.

The Electronics Test Technician will work on test and inspection work for fire safety systems and products including alarm systems, control panels and components. You will generate technical test reports, analyse technical drawings and set up customer equipment in line with the operating requirements.
You will complete testing procedures in line with European, British and LPCB standards typically to EN 54 product standards. You will liaise directly with customers ensuring polite, accurate and regular updates are achieved. The Electronics Test Technician will ensure current H&S guidelines are followed and work safely and collaboratively with other team members.
The Electronics Test Technician will possess a relevant mechanical or electrification and have experience in performing testing on electronic and/or software products.
You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills and be conversant with certification processes and their related testing procedures. You will have experience of climatic or mechanical testing and ideally have worked within a UKAS accredited testing/certification environment previously.
The Electronics Testing Technician will fully conversant Microsoft Office particularly Excel and enjoy interacting with customers.
