The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking an Advanced Research Engineer - Technology Transformation. The role will be to support high profile client projects across multiple sectors. The successful candidate will be taking key roles in stand-alone and collaborative projects, to identify client technology requirements using the MTC Discovery Process. They will be able to work with other technology specialists to understand the most suitable technologies, down select, support development of a business case, and facilitate implementation, for real operational and strategic advantage in industry.

The Advanced Research Engineer - Technology Transformation will support and deliver work packages from the resulting Transformation Roadmap to include: -
Facilitation of technology implementation
Real operational and strategic advantages through optimal technology insertion.
Duties and Responsibilities of the role will include:
Carrying out a Discovery process using the MTC Technology Transformation Programme (TTP):
Using assessment and mapping tools to define current state manufacturing performance.
Running workshops to identify technology opportunities to support strategic growth..
Evaluating opportunities to define work packages with clear value propositions.
Support the technology themes with your experience and knowledge of industry within multiple sectors
The ideal candidate for the role of Advanced Research Engineer - Technology Transformation will have a good Engineering Degree, and broad knowledge of Manufacturing principles, including established and emerging technologies. They will be able to see the “big picture”, but also be pragmatic in delivering real strategic advantage to clients through the implementation of technology solutions.
The suitable candidate will possess: -
Industrial experience ideally in Manufacturing Engineering positions
Experience in identifying the suitability of technology for businesses and the changes needed to implement
Strong communication skills, and understanding of change management
Ability to support speed to scale preparedness
