Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking an Advanced Maintenance Technician. The purpose of the role is to perform daily preventative and routine maintenance activities on the workshop equipment covering mechanical and electrical.

Reporting to the Workshop Maintenance Manager the Advanced Maintenance Technician will be responsible for introducing and managing service agreements for critical assets and equipment in the workshop.
As the Advanced Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible carrying out fault diagnosis on mechanical and electrical equipment.
To work alongside external contractors to ensure machine services and repair requirements are met.
Review external Health and Safety documentation with the MTC Health and Safety team prior to any work being carried out.
Develop strategic maintenance plans for equipment and machinery in the workshop.
Develop relationships with strategic suppliers to ensure issues are resolved efficiently.
Support with machinery installation and relocation within the workshops as required.
Respond to breakdowns and reactive maintenance requests across the workshops.
Produce Service reports for all equipment or system faults.
Conduct annual services on workshop equipment.
Carry out problem solving activities on equipment or system faults.
The position will require occasional travel to other MTC workshops (Liverpool and Oxford) to support where applicable.
The successful candidate for the Advanced Maintenance Technician will possess the following attributes:
Hold a recognised Engineering Maintenance qualification or Apprenticeship in both Mechanical and Electrical disciplines.
At least years minimum experience in a Maintenance position.
Have a good understanding of Maintenance processes and systems.
Experienced interpreting schematics.
Possess a mechanical bias covering hydraulics, pneumatics and machine tools etc.
Experience maintaining a variety of equipment such as CNC machines, Grinders, Lathes, Robotics.
Possess an electrical qualification with the ability to fault find also on PLC‘s is desirable.
Familiar with using CMMS to log and track maintenance jobs.
Proven track record of appropriately responding to both reactive and preventive maintenance tasks.
Ability to work within a team focussed environment.
Demonstrate a sound understanding of Health and Safety within a live workshop.
