Leeds £35,000 - £39,200 + benefits Permanent

Due to expansion a leading manufacturer of precision components has a new vacancy for a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. Working a three shift rotation pattern (Monday to Friday), the role will be responsible for ensuring efficiency and upkeep of plant machinery, a qualified Maintenance professional candidates are sought with an electrical maintenance bias.

 

 

Commutable from: Leeds, Bradford, Harrogate, Halifax, Keighley, Wetherby, Brighouse.

 

Salary: £ 35,000 - £ 39,200 p.a. + overtime + benefits

 

Suitable for: Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Electrician, Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Technician.

 

 

The Role

 

You will be tasked with carrying out planned and reactive maintenance activities across the modern facility, working in conjunction with other maintenance members to ensure constant running of all plant equipment and facility effectiveness.

 

Key responsibilities:

Reactive and planned preventative maintenance to manufacturing machinery & the facilities.

Work with management to develop a total preventative maintenance schedule.

Assist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairs.

Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make modifications

Work with the maintenance manager to identify areas for improvement

Identify continuous improvement actions to machinery and reduce production down time

Update and maintain internal database to record any fault issues and reordering of parts and products within the engineering department

Supervise and support the work of external contractors

 

 

The Person

 

Apprentice trained

Proven track record of facilities & plant maintenance

Electrically qualified

Demonstrated ability to use root cause analysis/problem solving process

Good proven diagnostic skills in both electrical and mechanical disciplines

You will have strong attention to detail, ability to work with minimal supervision including planning of own workload.
