The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking an Programme Manager to initially deliver an ERP Programme. This is a senior role within the programme department and will involve being responsible for the set-up, management and delivery of ERP programmes.

The Programme Manager will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of a major programme. This will include the coordinated organisation, direction and implementation of a number of transformation activities to achieve outcomes and realise benefits of strategic importance to the MTC.
Ensure the customer and all stakeholders‘ needs are clearly captured, understood, and effectively built into all aspects of the programme delivery.
Persuasion, engagement and influencing through approach/communication to gain commitment and reach a wider audience using well thought out, impactful techniques and actions.
Influence the wider audience, shaping how the programme is perceived both internally and externally, ensuring clear, positive and consistent messages are communicated.
Liaise with Technology/Line Managers to ensure effective use of resources across the portfolio in delivering project quality, cost & delivery.
Ensure an accurate and up to date Project Management Plan (PMP) is maintained and communicated.
Set requirements for the long-term programme performance, establish standards and performance at programme level and act when these are not met.
Drive a culture of innovation and create an environment where new ideas are encouraged
Define, measure and report regular communication updates of programme & project performance to the client and key stakeholders.
Build own and others capability through feedback and learning or development opportunities to ensure that the sub programmes have the required capabilities to meet the business needs.
The successful candidate for the Programme Manager role will possess the following attributes:
Degree qualified or equivalent with a background in the delivery of large programmes preferably within software and systems delivery.
An extremely strong leader with significant experience in a busy projects based/professional services environment.
Drive a culture of innovation and create an environment where new ideas are encouraged.
Assertive situational leadership skills
Demonstrates appropriate behaviours and competencies in line with the MTC‘s Right Way.
Experience and a working understanding of delivering complex programmes through others in an engineering/professional services environment
An organised yet flexible approach and able to influence/deliver through others across multiple projects/ sub programmes.
Articulate and able to effectively communicate at all levels of the business, from junior staff to CEO.
A natural investigatory nature and able to diagnose and resolve problems
Results driven self-starter with a positive CAN-DO approach focusing on solutions rather than problems.
Numerate with a strong focus on financial management with the ability to view situations from a commercial perspective and make commercially focused decisions.
Strong ability to engage, persuade, convince, or influence others.
