The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Transformation Project Leader, Automation and Robotics. You will be working with manufacturing business clients to understand the current state of their business and manufacturing operations, develop future state improvements and create a strategy to achieve a competitive advantage through the adoption of Automation and Robotics.

The Role    


The Transformation Project Leader, Automation and Robotics will guide businesses through the process of integrating robotics and automation solutions into their operations, facilitating working with industrial integrators, supporting technology themes in work packages.


The role will carry out initial engagements and line walks to identify projects and develop business cases for the implementation of robotics and automation solution.


You will analyse existing operations and portfolios and work with clients to develop and implement operational readiness prior to technology insertion.


The Transformation Project Leader will facilitate a selection of automation solutions and follow through with supporting the implementation and development of the solutions including leading some projects and building relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally.


The Person


The successful candidate for the role of Transformation Project Leader, Automation and Robotics will possess the following attributes:


  • Good Engineering, Manufacturing or Business degree, possibly with an MBA.

  • High level of industrial experience gained through experience of implementing automation solutions for competitive advantage.

  • Experience in delivering measurable change in businesses through the application of automation solutions

  • Up to date knowledge of the current UK automation and integration supplier landscape.

  • The ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels in a business, including senior leadership, and the gravitas to speak with authority about high MRL automation solutions and other manufacturing technology options.
