The Manufacturing Technology Centre is a UK success story - created to provide manufacturing systems solutions in an agile environment in partnership with industry, academia and other institutions. Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit they are seeking a Value Proposition Advisor on a 12-month fixed term contract. They will facilitate the ideation and launch of compelling and profitable new propositions.

The Value Proposition Advisor is a proactive hands-on role, working across the Sector and Technology Groups to align the MTC capabilities to best fit with the current industry challenges. Working closely with the MTC‘s customer facing business development teams and interfacing with customers where necessary, you will be providing brand support and developing collateral for (and whilst identifying) MTC Products/Services that can be reused to increase sales across new and existing customers.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Identify and prioritise industry verticals for proposition development where we have a strong offering and there is significant growth potential.
Retain a close working relationship with our sales teams to identify new propositions which primarily re-position our existing product.
Identify all required elements for the proposition:
Language appropriate to each sector for each proposition.
Training and knowledge transfer sessions for the BD community to ensure they have the required knowledge to successfully communicate the value proposition externally.
Working with marketing, the collateral including brochure, presentations, case studies, web content and thought leadership pieces.
Ensure competitive MTC marketing and business benefit is positioned throughout the proposition collateral.
Own the Go-to-Market plan for these propositions. This may initially include a road-test before a full launch across the MTC.
Have the business acumen to select the winning ideas and the strength to close down less valuable propositions.
The successful candidate for the role of Value Proposition Advisor will have/be:
Previous experience in a Propositions or Product Marketing role.
Understanding of Manufacturing, the MRL/TRL journey and how propositions reach maturity in a manufacturing context.
Knowledge of manufacturing supply chains, and how they may be leveraged to support our propositions execution.
A good commercial mind-set - thinking in terms of customer need, pricing strategies, value and return.
Data driven with a commitment to process.
A strong team player, as well as a proactive individual.
