Working in partnership with Consilium Recruit the MTC has a unique opportunity for a Project Planner. The role will be required to lead the planning activities across multiple projects within the overall defence programme on a 6 - 12-month contract.

The Project Planner‘s primary function will be to ensure the planning, tracking and communication of projects to support delivery on time, on budget and to the required quality standard. This will involve overseeing the overall performance to deliver the required results. The role also encompasses:
Ensures project implementation as well as work packages and constraints are accurately integrated into project planning scenario.
Responsible for monitoring progress and producing accurate projections.
Ensures other functions have access to accurate current reports and projections and relevant reports are available for the customer.
Advises Functional managers regarding projects, processes and procedures in the own field.
Handles communication with direct colleagues and the business about design and coordination services rendered.
Contributes to project as a team member or leads small projects.
Facilitation of workshops to support engineering teams in development of project plans.
Development of WBS
Supporting key future bid work.
Providing a good customer service and ensure that the project is trusted to deliver on its customer service proposition;
Budget and financial management including EVM.
The successful candidate for the role of Project Planner will have/be:
Experience of project management processes & reporting techniques across both multiple/large value projects and contracts
Qualified to degree level
An experienced MS Project, P6 and Excel user
Ideally professionally qualified to MCIOB, MRICS, APM or equally similar standard
They will understand:

Customer Awareness - Excellent focus on providing good customer service and the ability to balance our customers‘ needs alongside other priorities and constraints such as budgets and resources;
Managing Project Performance - Taking responsibility for performance including setting the standards and reviewing performance against these and anticipating issues and responding appropriately to drive and improve performance;
