A manufacturer of precision components to the aerospace, defence & energy sectors has a new vacancy for a Manufacturing Engineer. With previous experience working in complex precision manufacturing you will support production processes to improve efficiency, ensure compliance and drive continuous improvement across the business.

Salary: £ 32,000 - £ 36,000 + bonus + pension
Suitable For: Manufacturing Engineer, Process Engineer, CI Engineer, Continuous improvement Engineer.
Working for a successful division of a global engineering organisation you will support new product introduction, improve manufacturing processes, drive continuous improvement and support production teams in day to day manufacturing engineering activities.
Provide day to day support to manufacturing operations
Focus on process robustness through the use of process control measures
Detailed root cause and problem solving to improve process, reduce MRR‘s, rework and scrap from reoccurring failures
Support continuous improvement activities across the site.
Ensure process compliance with any productivity improvements within the value stream
Management of small capital and tooling projects within the value stream
MRR‘s - review, investigate and make engineering additions to the process as necessary to ensure customer compliance and throughput of orders within manufacturing
Ensure manufacturing readiness for new or existing orders/products
Promote a right first-time culture
Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent qualifications/experience
Experience in developing robust engineering controls and working in a mass production environment for small to medium sized parts
Previous experience working in complex component manufacture
Experience in production engineering and risk reduction through engineering procedures/drawings/specifications/notes/tool sheets/diagrams
Problem solving and root cause practitioner
