Due to the award of new projects, a leading R&D group has a new vacancy for a Principal RF Engineer to join the team. Working on a number of innovative projects focusing on future technologies you will have good working knowledge of RF and Microwave Systems Engineering. Due to the flexibility of the position remote working is available but occasional travel will be required to site in Bristol (fully expensed)
Salary: £ 50,000 - £ 60,000 p.a. + excellent benefits

The Role
Working on a number of innovative programmes the role of Principal RF Engineer will join the expanding RF and Microwave team and will work as part of the senior technical team to define and deliver internal and external work-packages and projects.
Key responsibilities:
RF design & development
Antenna design and measurement
Microwave systems engineering
Work with key stakeholders to define work specifications
Contribute to project and design reviews
Support junior members of the technical team.
Liaise with other engineering functions of Power electronics, Optical and advanced packaging to deliver projects
Keep abreast of the latest industry developments
The Candidate
Degree in relevant science, engineering or related discipline
Antenna design and measurement
Experienced at senior level in RF / Microwave systems engineering
Industrial experience with proven ability to deliver complex projects or work-packages
Industrially proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to quickly understand complex issues and to propose solutions.
