Due to expansion a world leading manufacturer has a vacancy for a Development Engineer.
Supporting product and project development on complex fuel systems, you will support design, development and verification activities of fuel systems and work in close liaison with the design and testing engineer teams to ensure the appropriate specifications are achieved.
Commutable from: Leamington Spa, Coventry, Stratford, Birmingham, Leicester, Redditch, Warwick, Northampton.
Salary: £ 40,000 - £ 50,000 p.a. + Pension + benefits

As the Development Engineer you will take a hands-on role in supporting development of fuel systems and work in close partnership with the design, manufacturing, tooling and project areas of the business to ensure effective delivery of product to an exacting specification. You will use DFMEA tools and problem-solving methods such as 8D to develop and verify fuel systems.
Technical responsibility for fuel system components from requirements through to validation and aftermarkets support.
Specification and selection of components and subsystems.
Technical point of contact for supply chain activities.
Design and develop liquid fuel metering and delivery systems.
Design and develop compressed air delivery system.
Define and oversee validation testing on fuel system products.
Generate design, analysis and test reports.
Provide production line and aftermarket fuel system support.
Present and provide engineering input at design reviews.
The ideal applicant will be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a engineering or a related subject. With proven experience in designing and developing new engineering products you will have worked on new projects from concept though design to manufacture. Familiarity with FRACAS and HAZOPS would be beneficial but not essential.
