The Events Technician requires a strong technical understanding and practical experience to support with audio, visual, lighting, meeting platforms and relevant associated controls that deliver a wide range of live, hybrid or virtual meetings/events.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Being the main point of contact for internal and external clients for technical support.
Deliver first class, safe customer experience whilst actively owning problems and seeking solutions.
Control and manage safe events including hospitality.
Support the wider events and catering teams in addition to deputising for the Operations and Services Manager in their absence.
Accountable for the itinerary of all event‘s technical equipment and meeting room resources.
Ensure all items are booked out on Condeco to ensure resources are not exhausted
Ensure equipment is carefully and securely stored and organised.
Perform daily meeting room checks across the campus ensuring issues are identified before impacting users.
Create user guides and training literature for meeting rooms.
Operate events equipment including, but not limited to audio desks, lighting, vision mixers and PTZ cameras.
The successful candidate for the role of Events Technician will have/be:
Level 2 Food Hygiene
Great customer service skills and willingness to go the extra mile.
Experience working within a busy events team, conference venue or hotel.
Excellent problem-solving skills and good time management.
Preparation, test and operation of specialised equipment such as amplifiers, speakers, control desks, PTZ cameras, HD displays, projectors and associated controls.
Good understanding of events and catering industry.
Good IT Skills - proficient in Microsoft Office packages.
