Following the award of new projects and continued growth, a manufacturer of complex assembles to the automotive & aerospace sector has a new vacancy for a Quality Technician. An experienced Quality Technician you will have good knowledge of quality processes and experience of mechanical and/or electrical testing to ensure parts comply with quality standards and identify non-conformances.

 

 

Commutable from: Silverstone, Daventry, Towcester, Northampton, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Banbury, Buckingham.

 

Salary: £ 32,000 - £ 34,000 p.a. + pension

 

Suitable For: Quality Technician, Quality Inspector, Quality Engineer, Test Engineer.

 

 

The Role

 

Working closely with the Quality Engineers & Manager, the role of Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring any non-conformance/quality issues are highlighted and addressed to ensure that products produced meet the necessary quality standards.

 

Key responsibilities:

Carry out product tests and thorough independent final inspection

Responsible for checking, reporting, progressing, and collating accurate build and inspection records

Inspect and auditing of all components and all stages of the manufacturing process

Investigate any quality issues to identify root cause and raise appropriate corrective action paperwork and ensure issues are addressed and resolved

Ensure compliance and assist with adherence to the Quality Management system

Support regular inspection meetings to establish an action plan for improving build quality

Providing secure preventative actions to external and internal quality related concerns

Ensure all products flow through the inspection department

Ensure all incidents of non-conformance are recorded

Maintain the calibration system, ensuring all equipment is correctly calibrated

Participate in root cause analysis

Assist the Quality Engineer with new product introduction

 

 

The Person

 

An experienced quality technician you will have good understanding of all quality processes including knowledge of APQP, PPAP & FMEA. With experience working in the automotive sector and an understanding of the associated quality standards you will be well versed in product testing to ensue parts confirm to customer requirements.
