The UK Battery Industrialisation Centre (UKBIC) is currently seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their leading Lithium-Ion Battery Manufacturing Technical Centre located in the West Midlands. The Maintenance Technician will support planned and reactive maintenance on manufacturing processes.

The aim of UKBIC is to support industry and develop the next generation of battery systems from Electrode Manufacturing to Cell Assembly through to Module and Pack Assembly to enable the industry to move to full scale and high-volume battery manufacturing.
The Maintenance Technician will support both planned and reactive maintenance exercises within the UKBIC facility ensuring that equipment and processes are safely maintained and supported. The Maintenance Technician will support fault finding across a range of control and PLC driven systems and support process improvement and process upgrades.
The Maintenance Technician will plan the preventative maintenance activities working closely with the engineering leadership teams and will support engineering problem solving across the UKBIC facility.
The Maintenance Technician will possess a proven technical apprenticeship and ideally ONC/HNC/HND qualified with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. You will have experience in working to planned preventative maintenance schedules and be conversant with robotic and automated manufacturing processes.
The Maintenance Technician will receive excellent training in innovative technology at UKBIC and the role offers excellent progression and development path within the organisation.
